Join us for an evening of conversation and community hosted by Dr Helen Thompson-Whiteside and Nicola Waterman, as we share the voices of women working in art across our city and explore the experiences that have led to their own unique journey.

About The Event
The evening is made up of a series of Ted-Style Talks, a panel discussion and a Q&A with all speakers and panel members.
Created this project to mark International Women’s Day on 8th March 2024, Women in Art aims to encourage the discovery of new perspectives, share art, engage in thought-provoking conversations and support the achievements of women artists.
The line-up will include:
Poetry by Seema and speakers Joanne Bushnell, Gemma Nichols, Donna Poingdestre, Michelle Ezeuko and Hannah Horn.
This event marks the last evening event of the Women In Art Programme. Sunday 10th March is the last opportunity to see the exhibitions at Aspex Portsmouth, Art Space Portsmouth and the Hotwalls Studios.
Help us celebrate the spirit and energy of this project and create an event our city can be proud of.

Accessibility
Aspex Portsmouth is a ground floor venue offering step free access. Please note when entering via the main entrance, the paving is cobbled. About Women In Art
This event is part of Women In Art, a project by Charla Grant, founder of Grateful Arts Club, and artist Hannah Horn.
Taking place between 1-10 March across Art Space Portsmouth, Hotwalls Studios and Aspex Portsmouth, each location will host both exhibitions and speaking events to showcase the work and hear the voices of women-identifying artists.
